Summer Intern – Nordics Logistics Hub International

We are now seeking summer interns to our Nordics Logistics Hub International at Nouryon, with placement at our office in Gamlestaden, Gothenburg. This is a temporary position that extends from June - August 2022.

Main responsibilities
The role will be based in our new Nordic Business Center in Gothenburg and you will be part of a skilled team that performs all transportation planning, executing, and monitoring including reporting and export documentation for international shipments.
In this role you will conduct transportation planning activities including capacity planning, shipment and fleet planning, carrier selection, routing, scheduling, tendering, and load building. You will also:
Complete and review shipping and customs documentation and coordinate with site logistics to execute shipments and gather necessary documentation.
Monitor shipments and customs clearance status and resolve shipment exceptions and customs clearance complications as they arise.
Track and monitor logistics provider, customer, and organization logistics KPIs and cost performance.
Support acquisition of transport mode capacity including spot booking.


Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe that you possess the ability to work efficiently, and you know how to prioritize in your daily work:
You must have graduated high school, ideally you are also a university student with focus in business/logistics.
Some knowledge working with history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS) and to general business management (MS Excel, Word) would be ideal.

Fluent in written and spoken English and Swedish

If you proceed in our selection process, we invite you to a face-to-face interview that takes about 1,5 hours. There you will meet with the hiring manager.
