Who we are
Parts Supply & Logistics is responsible for accessories and spare parts availability for Volvo Cars markets globally. The responsibility includes the entire material flow from supplier to customer. The business is built around central warehouses in Gothenburg, US, China, as well as additional supporting warehouses around the world.
We are now looking for Summer Interns to join our team at Global Logistics Operations.
What you will do
You will play a key part in one of our agile teams within customer support and transport execution.
In the customer support team, you will be responsible for the support and co-ordination of order and distribution queries from National Sales Companies, Importers, Suppliers, and other Specific Customers globally
As a transport coordinator, you will secure that we serve our customers through road, air, and sea depending on market responsibility. Key activities connected to the role are to book capacity and issue various documentation.
The period for the summer internship is between 1 June – 31 August, max 10 weeks. Start and end time to be discussed with the recruiting manager.
Qualifications
* Currently studying B.Sc. or M.Sc. in logistics, engineering or business or equivalent
* Genuine interest in supply chain
Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key
We are looking for a service-minded individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish. This role requires analysis of data therefore interest and experience in this area will be key to succeed in this role. It is also important to have good interpersonal skills and social competence, to be able to build relations with stakeholders and suppliers.
