The Manufacturing Engineer is a part of the Commodity department within Manufacturing Engineering Organization are now looking for summer interns!
The purpose of this department is to:
• To proactivity act and drive activities to secure flawless introduction of car programs into our plants and RCPX/RCS (Running Changes Project/Running Change Special vehicles) into our plants.
• Support Core ME, Plant Engineering/Shop Engineering & Commodity Product teams when expertise is needed.
• Drive for Process Commonality within Volvo Cars plants.
• Secure lean process and product solutions delivering accordingly to targets on safety, quality and efficiency
What You’ll Do
In this summer internship you will get the opportunity to do a variety of tasks. You will get to lead the cross technical product and production manufacturing work as well as representing Manufacturing during prepare and implement phase within your own area of responsibility. The work could be to lead tasks in limited areas within technical development, business development or similar. Also more hands-on tasks such attending pre-serie builds and support in problem solving activities can be a part of the work.
Who are you?
We believe that you are currently studying a Bachelor- or Master engineering program.
You possess a strong ability for cross functional and multi-cultural teamwork. For this internship you need to be proficient in English both spoken and written. Experience or familiarity of the Catia V5 simulation tool is meritorious. To be experienced in handling big data and applying analysis tools is also meritorious, such as PowerBi.
