Quality and Plant Academy VCT is a core operational function within Manufacturing Plant with the purpose to support in building quality to meet customer expectations. Function Quality within Torslanda plant is divided into several departments but substantially organized towards three main areas: Body Shop, Paint Shop and Assembly Shop. We are now looking for a Superintendent to one of these areas.
You will be a member of the Quality & Plant Academy management team and report directly to the Head of Quality and Plant Academy VCT.
What you’ll do?
In this role you will support the daily operation in terms of quality to furthermore develop already existing processes and working methods to fulfill long-term goals concerning quality, human development, and various goals according to the overall targets set by local management and VCT management team. The overall mission is to focus on the customer in all situations where your area of responsibility span from incoming material quality all the way until the car is ready for shipment from the factory. You must be able to build commitment to the team, drive development of the business, develop Volvo Cars Manufacturing System, reduce losses, and drive operations against lean transformation. As our Superintendent you will lead the team in a way that supports the Volvo Cars culture and wanted leadership behaviors. Other responsibilities include performance management, competency development, knowledge sharing and resource allocation according to requirements of the business.
In this role you will also be a member of the local management team.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a committed and inspiring manager who is passionate about quality, process- and human development. You have a University degree or similar experience and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. You must have significant leadership experience in a formal position, with the ability to both lead and motivate employees. Furthermore, the right candidate has a strong personal leadership in line with Volvo Cars values and you are highly successful in bringing out the best in others. As a person you find energy and motivation in releasing others’ potential, allowing them to grow.
