Supplier Development is part of Stoneridge Electronics Operations Organization.
You will work closely with Procurement, D&D, Project management, Logistics and Quality Engineering. Externally your main contact is the supplier base but could also be customers for specific supplier quality-related topics. The role will require travels to the worldwide supplier base. You will report to Supplier Development Regional Lead Europe.
Responsibilities
Supplier Selection: Supplier audits to qualify new suppliers.
Development Projects: Lead supplier APQP, PPAP, supplier safe launch to ensure flawless supplier launches. Give input to sourcing decisions regarding supplier performance and supplier processes. Manage supplier material quality problems in the project phase. Perform product audits at suppliers at start of production.
Supplier Quality Management: Manage supplier improvement programs, Supplier performance monitoring and improvements, supplier 8D, improvements through PDCA model, manage inspection plans for incoming inspection.
Main commodities are plastics and metal die-casting with A-surface visual requirements.
Requirements for candidate
You have well established knowledge of quality processes and statistical tools as well as problem solving skill and/or experience.
Experience in supplier quality management, in auditing and/or managing projects. Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written), knowledge of Business systems and good computer skills (MS Office).
Possibility to travel up to 60 days a year.
On the personal level, you are open-minded, communicative, respectful, flexible, proactive, supportive, team player and can handle stress. Additionally, you need to prioritize and plan your work tasks both short and long term.
