Supplier Development Engineer

Due to internal move an exciting opportunity has arisen as Supplier Development Engineer in our Supply Chain organization. In this role, you assess suppliers' production ability when it comes to verify their production quality. You work from a given basis to guide the supplier in meeting our requirements and specifications. You have an important role in maintaining existing supplier relationships, where you act humble and with integrity as the bridge between our internal functions and our suppliers. Having contact with our suppliers via mail, Teams and visiting them is a natural part of this role, business trips will therefore occur about once a month.
Visiting our suppliers will be linked to checks before customer delivery, deviations or improvement projects, this to verify that we constantly deliver world-class products. You will be an important player in our work to handle deviations quickly and efficiently through root cause analysis reported in our system. You will have support in this work through various quality tools, such as 8D, PFEMA and Fishbone diagrams. If necessary, you will later participate in making a claim against our suppliers.
In this role, the preventive work is important. You participate in our Source and Method Change projects together with our strategic and operational buyers, this to quickly ensure new suppliers delivering products of right quality. You will also contribute to internal investigations to improve and streamline our processes. The ability to create and maintain good relationships internally, for example with our operational buyers and assembly fitters, are of great importance. Collaboration with our engineering departments is crucial, especially in new designs where you attend or lead meetings with the aim of ensuring manufacturability.

Qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who have a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferably a good general technical understanding and experience from production or field service work is considered as a merit. Due to the nature of an international customer and supplier base, high level of English, both written and speaking, is important. Communication skills in other languages is considered an advantage. Collaboration skills and the ability to act on own initiative, is key to succeed, therefore we place great importance in your personal characteristics.
As we work with customers from both the commercial and naval market segments, Export control regulations are required for this position and questions related to citizenship will be part of the selection process.
