Supplier Development Engineer to Surface and Exploration Drilling Division (SED) Epiroc

Job Description and target
We are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer to our Strategic Sourcing department in Örebro.
The job as Supplier Development Engineer includes responsibility within different category areas, including suppliers to both Surface Drilling and Exploration products. You will work in close cooperation with a Category Manager within your category area/s to secure the long-term performance; total cost, service, flexibility and SHEQ. You are as Supplier Development Engineer responsible for driving the overall supplier development activities within the Strategic Sourcing Department including, but not limited to:
* PQAP (Part Quality Assurance Process)
* TSQP (Total Supplier Quality Process)
* Preventive activities to ensure best DFA/DFQ/DFM
* Audit Process including quality system, environment, ethics and social issues
* Supplier Base performance, follow up including escalation process
* Pursue development of suppliers on performance, environment, ethics and social issues according to established goals
* Review of Technical Specification (RTS) in Basic- and New Development Projects
* Case holder responsibilities
You need to have a great interest in working with Supplier Development with great Time To Market focus where preventive activities is key to success. You must have a good ability to build long-term relations and understand the communication needs between Epiroc and the suppliers.
You shall initiate and implement actions to meet our targets. We believe in proactive work for example by involving our suppliers already before a Design Notification is being realised in New Product Development (NPD) and Continue Product Improvements (CPI). The communication and understanding of the overall business including all functions within Epiroc SED is of great importance.
You need to have a structured way of working. Processes and tools are in place to support you in your daily work. We welcome proposals that drive our development further.
As Supplier Development Engineer you will be part of the Strategic Sourcing Department in Örebro, we are currently a team of total 15 people. We are a dedicated team that care about each other, have a lot of fun and that likes to find new opportunities to develop continuously. In this position the candidate shall be prepared for regular travels, both domestically and international.

Experience requirements
Extensive experience in Supplier Development within Strategic Sourcing and the manufacturing industry. Project manager skills and/or other leadership skills are preferred.
Educational requirements
You have a University degree in engineering or corresponding experience and competence. Certified auditor and Six Sigma (where black belt is preferred) or similar competence is required. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish is required.
Personality requirements
The person we are looking for must be well structured and with a strong drive to get the job completed.
You need to have a solid interest in engineering combined with sourcing. Communications skills are essential for both internal and external contacts. We see that you are an outgoing person with great ability to work in team.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
