Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Supplier Industrialization Manager to join our passionate Battery Systems team in Stockholm.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Supplier Industrialization Manager is responsible for development and qualification activities at suppliers. You will communicate with internal and external teams and travel to suppliers in different regions. You will work on delivering on time quantities of high-quality component parts into production processes to enable development cycles and product launches.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers
Lead supplier improvements in scalability and cost
Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between Suppliers, Purchasing, Quality, and Design teams
Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics
Accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes
Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or supplier
Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
5+ years of assembly plant experience supporting manufacturing or similar in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering role
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Lean Manufacturing, + how to apply skills to improve quality, capacity, & cost
Project management experience
Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level
Strong technical writing ability and an ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Highly organized and result-driven
Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills
Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
