Job Summary
Supplier Management leads and manages the sourcing, contracting and supplier base management within Tetra Pak. Our mission is to deliver value, contributing to sustainable business performance through a capable, dynamic and productive Supplier Management team.
Supplier Management is responsible for developing and driving the Tetra Pak global procurement strategy. As an integrated part of that, we are also responsible for defining and managing our Category strategies and our Supplier base.
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Manager / Category Leader who will have a high level of responsibility in Supplier Management Corporate & Professional Services and work in close collaboration with our business stakeholders, our different supplier management functions and our suppliers to ensure the execution of our procurement category strategy. The global Corporate & Professional Services team is today managing category families such as HR Services, Marketing & Communications Services, Professional Services and Travel Services.
You will be based in the best suited location where Tetra Pak has a legal entity and you will work in a Global arena. The job will require some travelling.
What you will do
As a Supplier Manager you will be responsible to develop and drive a number of global supply categories and interact directly with our main suppliers within those categories.
You will drive spend and market analysis, manage and execute strategic sourcing projects, support stakeholders in project delivery as well as managing strategically important and preferred supplier partnerships, contracts and performance, all to support our journey towards a world class procurement organization.
In this role, you will also be responsible for driving supplier selection and development in accordance with commodity strategy, risk management, global process and quality requirements. Furthermore, you will manage supplier related activities in alignment with business strategies to secure the achievement of KPI’s related to quality, cost and delivery.
You will focus on:
Define, implement and manage category strategies in Corporate & Professional Services
Consider sustainability, compliance and risk management as an integral part of the category strategies
Secure supply and secure performance in term of quality, delivery and cost
Lead and manage sourcing and contracting activities as per strategy and policy via our e-procurement solution, identify and implement cost saving initiatives
Develop and maintain relationships and implement a business partnering approach towards key stakeholders
Have an end-to-end Supplier Management process understanding and secure early involvement with business stakeholders
Define and manage performance improvements focusing on strategic needs
Manage relationships and collaborations with strategically important suppliers
Work collaboratively as a category lead with regional and local teams through regular network meetings to share, gather information and develop effective and efficient best practices
Develop and deploy expertise within categories to maximize the potential of the supplier market, to ensure that savings efficiencies are achieved and to be a value-adding and trusted business partner
We believe you have
We believe you have a university degree in Economics or Engineering and at least 5 years’ working experience in supplier management, supplier quality management or procurement in an international and global context
You have great knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge and experience of SAP BO, Ariba and PowerBI and previous experience of procurement of Indirect Services will be considered a plus
A very good command of English, both written and oral is required
You are an open-minded person with a strong drive for and focus on results. A drive and focus you are able to maintain on your own and during busy as well as less busy periods
You communicate efficiently and proactively and communication at all levels with different stakeholders is natural for you
You are comfortable to challenge the current state and you have the ability to get others to see and believe your points
It is important that you are analytical, methodical and efficient
You can remain calm and focused during peaks and you are comfortable in a constantly changing and developing environment
