Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - Remanufacturing and spare parts
If you have a genuine technical interest, enjoy travelling and want to work with continuous improvements of the quality level of parts from our supplier base, this might be a position for you.
SQ-Supplier Quality is, within Scania Purchasing, responsible for quality assurance of new and modified parts, delivered by our suppliers, as well as securing capable production processes at the suppliers during the life time of our parts.
We are now searching for candidates to work in the SQA team of Customized Solutions.
Your Tasks
Although Scania products are built with high quality from beginning, eventually all products need spare parts to keep the high uptime our customer expect. Your task is to quality assure that this very broad range of spare parts are produced with the same quality demands as the production parts.
For some components we also offer remanufactured spare parts as a more cost efficient replacement part to the aftermarket. As an SQA within the Customized Solutions, you shall ensure that our suppliers comply with our high quality expectations, for instance ISO/TS-16949.
You must acquire understanding of the product's requirements and ensure that the requirements are correctly understood by our suppliers and that their processes are capable of producing accordingly.
The position requires genuine technical knowledge and several years of professional experience within quality assurance, production and/or product development.
Your Profile
We look for a candidate who enjoys the varying tasks of the SQA role, has strong commitment, works well both alone and in teams and enjoys a high tempo.
Your main area of competence lies in manufacturing, with focus on quality assurance. Since all parts on our vehicles can end up as spare parts, we believe a background with several various specialities is more useful than very deep knowledge in one. To properly read and interpret drawings as well as understanding how to best produce according to given specification, is one of your main areas of expertise.
Since travelling to suppliers is a frequent component of the SQA work, our candidate must be prepared to travel, be fluent in English, both written and spoken, enjoy meeting new people and be able to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
