Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer- Software

We are currently looking for a SW SQE to a customer within the automotive industry.

Job description:
The general description of the Supplier Quality Assurance department belonging to Purchasing (of customer within the automotive industry), is driving the global supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards. The department is responsible to continuously improve the supplier base and the quality of purchased parts. The Quality Assurance department, Electrical/Electronics & Software (SW) are looking for a Senior Software Supplier Quality Engineer (SW SQE) with experience working with SPICE and/or CMMI. The software SW SQE is responsible to assure that the suppliers have the correct processes in place to develop software and to ensure that these are applied in a correct way. The overall objective is to ensure that the software product meet the customer expectations. When this is secured then the SW SQE are the one to approve the SW product (SW PPAP) before use in serial production. One of the main tools in the project is SW APQP, which is used to evaluate that usage of correct processes and routines at the supplier during the SW development project. The method is based use SPICE as foundation and expectation is that suppliers shall be minimum certified according to SPICE level 3. As SQE you will be involved in several different projects in parallel and will be responsible for a set of suppliers and all their SW deliveries. As SQE you are working in close cooperation with Purchasing, Product development and the supplier throughout the life cycle of the software product.

Responsibilities:
-Ensure that supplier deliver software according to agreement and secure that agreed software development processes are applied at supplier
-Ensure that Product development follow agreed processes when working with supplier
-Audit, monitor and support quality activities at suppliers and in the development teams
-Give recommendation to approve/not approve supplier software deliveries
-Perform quality checks on software and software development process at supplier
-Request corrective actions from supplier when needed
-Escalate and report to project when problems cannot be solved within development team

Requirements:
You should have an eye for details but also have a good general understanding of the situation, being able to make risk assessments and focus on the right areas. You must be a good communicator and a multicultural team player both internally but also towards supplier management team. The job requires frequent travels.
