Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - Superstructure

SQ-Quality is within Scania Purchasing responsible for quality assurance of new and modified parts, delivered by our suppliers, as well as securing capable production processes at the suppliers during the life time of our parts.
We are now looking for candidates to reinforce the SQA team, within quality assurance of superstructure.
Your duties
You will be part of a SQA group of 11 people, with responsibilities to quality assure suppliers of Sheet Metal parts, Chassis components and Bodybuilders. You and one additional SQA will be responsible for quality assurance of Bodybuilders, with your main focus on buss bodybuilders.
As a SQA within the body building segment you ensure that our suppliers comply with the high quality expectations of Scania. You work closely together with other functions within Scania to assure that the supplier base cope with our current demands and to assure that future demands will be met.
By auditing suppliers you ensure that the Scania requirements are correctly understood by our suppliers and that their processes are capable to produce accordingly. You take part in prioritizing which suppliers to audit, approve suppliers for deliveries to Scania and from time to time support the suppliers to develop their quality assurance processes.
Your Profile
We look for a candidate who appreciate the varying tasks of a SQA role, has strong commitment, works well both alone and in teams, and enjoy working at a high pace.
As a superstructure often contains many complex production processes, the position requires a genuine and broad technical interest, preferably with deeper knowledge in a specific area e.g. surface treatment, assembly or welding. Hence, you probably have an academic degree in engineering and/or work life experience from production, development or quality assurance.
Since auditing suppliers is a frequent component of the SQA work and Scania source on a global market, you will have the opportunity to travel frequently. Hence, it's also important that you master the English language, both written and spoken, appreciate to meet new people, enjoy to manage multiple simultaneous projects and have a drivers licence (at least for car).
