Your role
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance of civil aircraft regulations. You will work closely with suppliers of aircraft systems and parts and you will take part in the preventive work in the development phase of the products and systems.
You will frequently audit and assess suppliers, reviewing and preparing development documents to establish product quality according to product specification. You will also perform product and design reviews as well as being responsible for supplier corrective actions of non-confirming parts.
You will be a part of an expanding international Sourcing and Supply Chain Team ensuring our customers optimal life cycle availability on Saab special mission aircraft products.
The work will vary in both complexity and scope and will contribute to your individual development.
Business trips to our suppliers occurs.
Your Profile
You have well documented experience in working with international suppliers. You have experience in external and internal audits and have a Quality mind-set. Your ability to work both independently, in groups and across the organization's boundaries is important and highly valued.
It is highly meritorious if you have an IRCA-approved Lead Auditor training and previous experience of working with regulations linked to the aviation industry, such as EN9100, EASA Part 21G, EASA Part 145.
You communicate well in an international setting and combine Quality thinking with operational actions and business understanding.
You are well organized, with the ability to make decisions, find flexible solutions and creating engagement.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA), a newly formed part of the Aeronautics Business Area within Saab, delivers extensive aircraft platform modifications, services and integrated support solutions for cost effective support of systems and platforms during the complete life cycle. SMRA is now in an intensive phase with several Special Mission and Civil delivery projects ongoing. Our business aims to establish and support the customer capability to operate and maintain world class systems like GlobalEye, SK60, Saab 340 and 2000.
