Supplier Quality Engineer – Electronics Embedded Systems

About the role
We now seek a highly qualified SQE within the Embedded system, Electronics and Electro-mechanics area. This role will focus on knowledge of quality assurance of suppliers in electronics parts and subassemblies and relevant area in this fields, such as PCBA, assembly processes, connectors, components, electronics packaging robustness and reliability, production testing, et.al.
You will be a part of the global SQA Residential EPAC team consisting of 10 SQE located globally. You will also work cross-functionally with, above all, R&D, Project sourcing, Commodity managers, factory and suppliers to be involved together driving quality developing and evaluate suppliers of connected to this. Electronics/Embedded system is either as own inhouse designed PCBA, black boxes according to our specifications or as sub modules from technology providers. You will in the role mainly work with Tier 1 suppliers but also in specific cases Tier 2/Tier3 suppliers when needed.
Position includes travelling to supplier locations Globally. You report to Director SQA Residential EPAC Business Unit. This role is preferable located in Huskvarna (SE) or Mielec (PL)

Main tasks
Working close together with internal stakeholder and suppliers in the field of supplier quality.
Responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the supplier quality assurance and development system in the commodity. 
Perform audits on new and existing suppliers with the purpose of evaluating the expected quality or sustainability performance of the supplier and provide relevant information into supplier selection decision forums and commodity management.
Actively participate in R&D-projects with activities related to suppliers in the commodity.
Support in the suppliers' corrective action process and approve the result for Husqvarna related issues that has gone through the process, drive supplier achieves Husqvarna PPM target.
Develop strategic suppliers.
Manage internal customer relationships and coordinate with Commodity Management the selection, assessment and approval of supplier and parts.
Work with suppliers and their related departments to achieve all individual KPIs and give support if needed.
Guide the suppliers in the APQP and PPAP process and evaluate/approve the result of the suppliers APQP and PPAP work. Be involved in internal and external drawing reviews to synchronize the demands in order to reduce risk and avoid miss understanding, be involved supplier selection, tooling approved process, TOK and EP samples process.



Your profile
To be relevant for the role you have a bachelor’s or master degree in Electronics engineering or other relevant discipline. You have a job-profile likely with 3-5 years of experience working as SQE or relevant areas as well as demonstrated experience in assessments and development of new and existing suppliers.
Your experience and understanding of working with supplier quality related topics and manufacturing engineering are good as well as your knowledge in quality engineering, audit processes and relevant certifications. Likely with background from Automotive or industry application or in EMS.
It is of importance that you have professional knowledge in electronics and mechatronic or related fields. You need to understand and be familiar with manufacturing process of PCBA (SMT & HMT), , LCD’s, LED’s, PCB’s, connectors, cables, Li-Io Batteries, environmental protection, production testing, firm wares, electronics reliability and packaging, process requirements specifications and quality control for electronics embedded systems supply chain.
You have in your former role gained knowledge and experience of working with quality systems methods and quality engineering practices (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma and Lean concepts, etc.).

You need to thrive in an innovative organization and have the willing to contribute with your own ideas. Fluent English both orally and in writing is required.
