Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a qualified professional to enhance their supplier evaluation processes, identify potential risks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of their global supply chain. About the Role:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer your role is crucial. You will evaluate suppliers, identify weaknesses and potential risks using tools such as the Supplier Evaluation Modules (SEM) and CSR-live audits, both continentally and possibly globally.
- Working within a team of specialists, your responsibilities include maintaining and developing SEM and CSR-live audit tools.
- You´ll coach suppliers alongside the SQE on risk mitigation plans, actively support process harmonization, and contribute to best practice sharing within the Global Team.
- Adhering to GTP processes and the Code of Conduct, you´ll conduct CSR-live audits in alignment with the Volvo Group´s CSR requirements.

This role demands extensive travel (80%) as you take the lead in auditing suppliers. Your preventive mindset, leadership abilities, and project management skills will be pivotal in solving problems and making informed decisions.

About You:
To thrive in this role, we believe that you are:
- A seasoned professional with a university degree in Engineering, an MBA, or over 10 years of technical experience.
- You have a minimum of 5 years in Supplier Quality, Quality Department, or a similar role.
- You have significant experience in leading audits, coupled with a strong knowledge of ISO 19011.
- Your expertise spans various production processes, and you possess knowledge in Lean/5S/Gemba and Purchasing.
- Certified in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills at all levels
- You have a proven ability to adapt and interface with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
