ABB Large Motors and Generators (Machines) develops, sells, designs and manufactures large motors and generators for various applications. For four- and six-pole machines, as well as Synchronous Condensers, we have global responsibility within ABB and deliver to all continents.
In this role you will be part of a team with 5 colleagues working with supplier quality. Your main responsibility will be to contact suppliers regarding non-conformities found in our production and follow up these claims. You will also work together with SCM and the suppliers to prevent that non-conformance products are sent to us. The position will offer variation and close cooperation with both suppliers and internal specialists.
In this role you will be a part of the quality department and report to the Quality Manager.
Your responsibilities
Perform supplier claims preparation and reviewing of 8D reports.
Support production with activities related to non-conformities from suppliers.
Coordinate work with production, engineering and suppliers to improve quality of purchased material.
Participate in supplier performance evaluation and supplier quality development activities.
Drive improvement projects with our suppliers based on quality or cost improvements.
Support supplier onboarding.
Perform annual audits at suppliers.

Your background
A high level of technical understanding and knowledge.
More than 2 years of work experience within the relevant field or a Bachelor or Master degree in a technical area.
High level of analytic skills with a questioning attitude.
Good communication and cooperation skills to be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization, as well as suppliers and customers.
Work experience in 8D reports, DMAIC or similar.
You are a team player, driven, structured and result-oriented.
Fluency in Swedish and English, written and verbal, is a requirement.
