Our organization built with motivated people and great teamwork belongs to Group Trucks Purchasing.
We are driving the global supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards.
European department is responsible for continuously improving the supplier base and the quality of purchased parts for three main customers: Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Bus.

Your tasks as SQE - Aluminum casting, Forging and machining products.


The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (SQE) is responsible to perform quality assurance activities with external suppliers to Volvo in order to secure purchased components to design specifications. This is accomplished by working with Buyers and Engineering from the sourcing phases up to serial production:
Be an active member of strategy definition, supplier selection and development work in order to ensure that the requirements are correctly understood by our suppliers and that their processes are capable to produce accordingly.
Work closely with our Engineering and Buyers departement in order to make sure quality is built into the original design of our products.
Monitor supplier quality performance and lead supplier quality crisis.
Lead and coordinate cross-functionally APQP/PPAP activities for various purchased parts and projects
Work with the Volvo warranty group, plant quality, and quality engineering groups to eliminate potential field and customer claims.
Maintain and update the various quality assurance and IT systems within Volvo
Contribute to best practice/ knowledge sharing in the team and within SQ&D department

Being an experienced member, we expect you contribute actively to the team and organization development:
Mentor new comers
Create and lead trainings
Lead some Continuous Improvement activities



Your profile

The position requires genuine technical knowledge and several years of professional experience within manufacturing processes for aluminum or iron casting, forging and precise machining products.


Due to this complex portfolio, a previous successfull SQE experience is required. The candidate shall master all standard SQA processes and tools and shall have high performance records.

We look for a candidate who enjoys the varying tasks of an SQE role, has strong commitment, works well both alone and in teams and can handle a high pace.

Since travelling to suppliers is a frequent activity our candidate cannot mind travelling, shall master English language both written and spoken, enjoy meeting new people and being able to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
