About the role
In the role as Supplier Quality Manager you drive performance of suppliers to comply with Essity´s requirements defined in the Global Supplier Standard (GSS). You work in the areas of Quality, Product Safety, Environment, Chemicals and Code of Conduct where you secure quality and ethical compliance with the suppliers. Furthermore, you perform suppler site audits and negotiate Quality Assurance Agreements. To secure total quality and supplier performance development you collaborate with multifunctional teams within Sourcing, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory and Innovation as well as participate in supply stream teams, networks and relevant manufacturing teams.
What you will do
· Support Essity Sustainability targets by ensuring suppliers compliance with Essity GSS, completion of self-assessment in Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) and initiating ethical audits in “high risk” areas for Human Right’s violation (execution done by 3rd party)
· Monitor and improve supplier performance by reviewing supplier rating results and following up with corrective actions (CAPA) from audits and quality reviews
· Take the lead for resolution of Quality Incidents caused by suppliers by ensuring proper investigation of causes and implementation of corrective actions
· Participate actively in improving SQM tools and implementing best practices within Essity
· Ability to travel 60 days per year on an international basis
Who you are
· University degree in relevant field, for example Engineering or Manufacturing
· 5-10 years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering roles with close relations to customers and suppliers
· Minimum 5 years experience from Manufacturing/Supply Chain
· Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of:
o Statistical Process Control (SPC), capability studies and PPAP, AQL is an advantage
o Quality and Risk Management principles and tools
o Process improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma, DDS
o Good Manufacturing Practices and regulations applicable to health and hygiene goods is an advantage
· Fluent in English both verbally and written, fluent Swedish is an advantage
· Advanced MS Office skills; experience in SAP/Ariba is valued
· Experience in auditing for Quality and Production Process Control; Environment and Ethical auditing is an advantage
· Formal auditing training in ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14000 and AS8000 is an advantage
