On behalf of our customer we are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager for a 6 months consultant assignment in Stockholm. For the right candidate there is a strong possibility of being offered a permanent position after completed assignment.
The role
In the role as Supplier Quality Manager you will be part of business function Supply Chain reporting to Direction Supplier Quality Management.
The aim of the role is to shape and further develop working methods and processes for the Group Supplier Quality Assurance function on a global level. You will develop and maintain a supplier quality management framework that ensures that the company is fully compliant to rules and regulations such as ISO 13485, US FDA and EU MDD/MDR.
The position involves structured and methodical approach, with responsibility for setting requirements for supplier quality procedures and secure compliances through assessments and audits.
Main tasks:
Maintain and develop supplier quality manualMaintain data in Approved Supplier List (ASL)Lead supplier qualification processEnsure that the sourcing team and framework is aligned and follow respective all BU QMSSupport to Business Units with supplier quality analysis and suggestions for improvement also for quality issues related to product designPerform production process design. production process validation and part approvalDevelop and perform training for employees (sourcing) and suppliersLead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers in a Business Unit to align process, methods and tools and drive supplier improvement programsLead re-evaluation process off the supplier baseParticipation in CAPA Projects
The role as Supplier Quality Manager is a global role with travels across Europe, Asia and US.
Experience and competencies
The right candidate for this role must have a university degree (or similar) in mechanical or electrical engineering or other relevant discipline. A minimum of five years of experience from quality leadership incl. supplier quality, supplier management, manufacturing engineering and product development is required. Experience from in engaging in cross functional collaborations and matrix organizations is important.
You have the ability to define standardized frameworks, processes and tools to ensure efficiency and agility throughout a global organization. It is crucial that you have a deep knowledge in supplier quality management practices such as supplier qualifications, audits and assessments, production process verification and pars approval process.
A relevant understanding in QMS, standards, responsible sourcing, risk assessments and supply chain compliance requirements is important as well as demonstrated success in product development and industrialization of new products.
You must also be able to show a proven record of developing supplier relations and lead performance improvements.
Strong analytic, interpersonal and communication skills is required for this role and experience from medical device industry is an advantage.
