Supplier Quality Specialist

About the role
In the role of Supplier Quality Specialist you will be working with a key supplier as part of a wider team in the UK and Europe and report to an on-site management team. You will plan, organize and conduct audits/assessments of the supplier´s systems, processes and products.

In your role as Supplier Quality Specialist your main tasks will include:

- Documentation of and reporting on audit/assessment results.
- Inspecting or verifiying products for compliance with applicable requirements.
- Assessing capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.
-Investigating and resolving concerns to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Providing education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
-Reporting status of supplier performance.

The assignment will start in April 2021 and continue for at least 12 moths with the possibility of extension.

About you
We are looking for a candidate who has a background in quality/inspection, is be able to understand and interpret 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings, production paperwork and manufacturing specifications. The job requires you to have experience of the inspection of machined and fabricated parts, knowledge of the installation of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRU) and experience on wire looms.

Furthermore, the successful candidate should have experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution. Computer skills will be required to input data into a number of different on and off-line systems and applications including Microsoft Office.

Important for the role:
- To understand and interpret 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings, production paperwork and manufacturing specifications
- First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard
- Fluency in both oral and written English
