Supplier Recovery Manager

As a Recovery Manager you have the responsibility within Volvo CE to negotiate and agree on warranty cost reimbursement with our suppliers. You will direct contribute to Volvo CE result and inspire suppliers to continuous invest in quality improvements. Global Supplier Recovery is also responsible for managing the parts return for related technical analysis.

Our Recovery team is present in US, Korea, India, China and Sweden. The job includes to a very high content external and internal communication in a commercial and technical environment. Negotiation, technical understanding and communication are some of your key skills.

In order to effectively negotiate, manage and create positive business relations a strong advantage for this position is experience from engine manufacturing, service repair or design.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Prioritize and manage recovery cases with suppliers. From analysis phase until agreement, payment received and case is closed.
- Analyze, negotiate and re-negotiate recovery claims with suppliers, follow up, check that outcome is according to agreement and handle eventual parts return.
- Negotiate recovery conditions with supplier together with Purchasing and set up the agreed recovery process.
- Suggest and process improvements and implement accordingly
- Participate in recovery business, process and operational development initiatives
- Represent the team in various forums and business development projects.

Competence:
- University degree in engineering, technical/business or similar competence via other experience
- Strong negotiation skills and a business mindset with good technical understanding
- Experience from engine design, service repair or manufacturing is a merit
- Experience from construction equipment business
- Good presenter with leadership skills
- Proficient with MS software
- Fluent in English communication is a must, both written and spoken
