About Us:
Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) is responsible for accessories and spare parts availability for Volvo Cars markets globally. The responsibility includes the entire material flow from supplier to customer. The business is built around central warehouses in Gothenburg, US, China, as well as additional supporting warehouses around the world. This position reports to the Senior Manager at Purchase Planning.
What you will do:
As Supplier Relations Manager (SRM) at PS&L, you will use a systematic approach to evaluating suppliers, determining critical supplier's contribution to success, and developing strategies to improve their performance. You will proactively secure and optimize our supplier’s ability to supply parts and accessories according to agreement and beyond. You will be the link between PS&L and our main suppliers, mainly supplying business critical and/or high frequent parts. You will work in close cooperation with Supply Chain Coordinators, Demand Planners and Part Lifecycle Optimization Managers, ensuring the end-to-end volume for parts & accessories supply. You love supplier collaboration and development and are always prepared to go the extra mile to reach new levels. Every collaboration is an opportunity for you to make our customers life easier and hassle-free.
Main duties:
• Ensure optimized KPI: s are reached (supplier availability, delivery precision, arrears etc)
• Secure the supplier capacity and capability according to customer need
• Increase flow efficiency and flexibility through optimize lead-times and order quantities
• Perform supplier audits
• Onboarding new suppliers
• Develop a mutually beneficial relationship between PS&L and our suppliers
• Improve X-tier supply chain processes
• Develop supplier collaboration supplier concept, processes, methods and IT tools etc
• This role requires the candidate to travel
Your Skills:
We believe you have an M.Sc. (Logistics, Economy, Engineering) and 3+ years of working experience within Supply Chain. You should have extensive experience with supplier audit, and production & information process improvement, and experience within project management and quality management. You have strong analytical skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills. We are a global company, and you need to be proficient in English, verbal and written. Occasional travel is required for this position as well as having a B Drivers` license.
