Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Supply Chain Networks is a function within Production & Logistics and Our ambition is to become the leader within sustainable logistics. Our mission is to globally develop, manage and optimize our logistical flows by building flows with minimal environmental impact, and high quality to the lowest possible cost. The central responsibility for the Packaging Process is as an important part of Supply Chain Networks, and now we are looking for a new member in one of the teams.

Packaging Network and Selection is responsible for developing the Packaging Logistics Network, both short- and long term. We are now facing an exciting and important development step, with high focus and ambition on sustainability and digitalization, aiming to get full control of Scania’s Packaging Processes and Network. We are also responsible for developing the Packaging Selection Process to secure right packaging for each flow and application. We work on a global arena, which includes cross-functional challenges within and between Scanias different industrial hubs (Europe, Latin America & China). We are a group of six ambitious and driven individuals with mixed experience, both internal & external.

Job description
As a team member, you will be a key player in taking Packaging logistics towards a more efficient and controlled process with sustainability and digitalization as leading stars. You will lead and participate in different logistics improvement projects to support Scania’s future strategies and goals.

You will both work internal and cross-functional with:
Identifying, initiating, developing & coordinating improvement projects and assignments.
Problem-solving and establish way of working to avoid the problem in the future.

Different areas of responsibility within the team:
Develop and maintain control within the packaging system.
Secure capacity within the packaging system.
Design and maintain the empty packaging network, global responsibility for Europe, China and flows connected to Latin America.
Secure and develop packaging transport set up, includes working with transport tenders and negotiations for example.
Support packaging operations with process development.

Your profile
We believe that you have a university degree within logistics, or similar, with at least 1-3 years’ work experience within that area. You have experience within project management & coordination and love being “the spider in the web”. We further believe that you are skilled in process- & value stream mapping and other problem solving tools. You can easily work both in teams as well as deliver result on your own. You are fluent in the Swedish and English language, both written and spoken. We believe that you are skilled in analyzing data and experience in using some kind of analysis tool (for example PowerBI) is regarded as merit.

You are a positive, driven, curious and communicative person with a talent for connecting with new people. You easily see the big picture and understand the details, are constructive, see new opportunities and take initiatives for improvements.
