Job description
As a Supply Chain Engineer you secure excellence in the total Supply Chain operational performance, in close cooperation and alignment with all relevant Supply Chain stakeholders. The Supply Chain Engineer assures that the customer demands are being supported all the way from the supplier base, through the production planning and is integrated into the IKEA supply chain network. You will be a strong contributor to the future development of the production site and in our role in the total Supply Chain. You interact with other IKEA colleagues and external suppliers to maintain and develop to secure product availability and cost efficiency for the hearts and homes of the IKEA customers. You contribute to our strategy of being affordable, reachable and creating a positive impact for people and planet.
As a Supply Chain Engineer you will, among other assignments:
• Drive business plan together with sourcing organization and suppliers
• Be the local process owner for the source process and contact to central organisation
• Follow up supplier performance and cooperation and drive improvement
• Set up logistic solutions, follow performance and handle deviations
• Update supplier agreement
• Communicate requirements to suppliers
• FSC and IWAY forestry responsible
• Handling of pricelists and invoices
• Communicate and drive supply chain related matters between IKEA Industry Älmhult and the total IKEA supply chain.
• Follow up and manage phase in and phase out of products
• Initiate, drive and contribute to improvements within the supply chain area
• Lead and contribute to additional assignments within or across the functions
Qualification
Who are you?
As a person you have a passion for planning, leading and working with a global assignment making it work in the everyday work at the factory. You get energy from taking the lead, working with multiple stakeholders and handling numerous assignments. Have a university degree in logistics, economics or other relevant background
Have supply chain experience from working with strategical, tactical and operational dimensions
Have project management experience
Are logical, analytical and business minded
Have the ability to work with a holistic perspective, through the whole chain from supplier to customer, as well as the capability to be in the fine details when needed
Are open-minded and flexible in a fast changing environment
Have excellent Microsoft office skills and experience or interest from digital solutions such as QlikView.
Are fluent in Swedish and English
Have knowledge within Lean Production
