We are looking for a Factory Supply Chain Manager & Category Team Lead for Components in Ludvika – a Transformer Business Unit in Sweden. In this role you will focus on direct material sourcing strategies, supply quality and performance and manage different aspects related to operations of a local manufacturing unit. The factory employs roughly 400 people and producing Bushings and Tap Changers mainly for Transformers business.
Your responsibilities
Be the primary factory responsible for strategic sourcing activities by ensuring material availability, delivery performance and cost competitiveness
Lead a team of Factory SCM Specialists, a Supplier Quality Engineer, and a team of regional Category Managers
Select, qualify, and classify suppliers. Negotiate and sign contracts with key Product Line suppliers (4 factories to serve) and local suppliers
Lead the supply quality and development activities
Collaborate with other functions and across similar factories on backlog execution, new product introduction, escalation cases and synergies
Drive local and global improvement projects
Your background
Proven experience as Supply Chain Leader, preferably in a heavy industry product assembly environment
Experience in operational procurement, transportation, and logistics as well in contract negotiations and supply performance improvement projects
You have people management experience overseeing a team of at least 5 subordinates
As a leader you have good listening, communication & influencing skills to build trust with your team and different stakeholders
You are inspirational, result-driven, and people-oriented, have a flair for business and like to work in a multi-cultural environment
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of ERP systems
English is required, both written and spoken. Swedish is considered as a plus
