About the job
As supply chain manager, you are responsible for providing our product unit in Gävle with an efficient supply of both direct and indirect material. You are responsible for purchasing and production planning, order preparation and physical material handling from goods receipt to loading the truck with finished goods to delivery in an efficient manner.
The responsibility includes building an optimal supplier portfolio from different perspectives such as price, risk management and logistics, stock and production planning and initiating measures around in- and outsourcing in line with the company's overall strategy. You develop supplier relationships and are responsible for price negotiations, supplier agreements and supplier audits. You establish and report relevant KPI: s for the department.
Building teams and working with competence development at both individual and group level together with the work environment responsibility is an important part of the work. Your team consists of thirteen employees, of whom one is the manager with responsibility for another twelve employees. Your immediate manager is the manufacturing director at PU Gävle, whose management team you are part of.
You keep up to date with relevant technology shifts that can affect the Supply chain department and you communicate this in the organization and take the necessary measures based on this. You drive continuous improvement in the area, to ensure that our processes and methods are efficient and flexible based on the actual situation.
About you
You are a prestigeless team player with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization. You have a business-driven approach and are used to working close to factories and customers to better understand their needs and challenges and make forecasts that predict different fluctuations.
You enjoy driving the work with improvements and continuously challenging current ways of working and you inspire your team to do the same. You actively initiate and establish processes to escalate the delivery performance within the supply chain. We see that you have experience of working in global operations in an assembly plant or other manufacturing industry where supply chain, category-driven purchasing and a business system are a central part of the business.
You have a university degree in business administration, economics, supply chain or similar and at least five years of documented experience of supply chain management and stock handling in a relevant industry. We also see that you have at least three years' experience of leadership in a similar role and experience of production planning. You have good knowledge in ERP- systems and in Excel, and you are fluent in English. If you have done Leadership training, it can be an advantage.
