This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner & Analyst to work within the part of supply chain focused on contract manufacturing. The department’s current portfolio and scope is growing, and our team is focused primarily on demand and supply management within our current portfolio consisting of instruments, spare parts and consumables, all manufactured by external partner.
How will you make an impact?
The department is under development as a part of an increased focus on this segment of products from the supply chain perspective. This is a great opportunity for you to add value to an already successful business and to a very ambitious supply chain team.
We are looking for someone who would like to be part of developing this segment towards securing high level of supply reliability towards our internal and external customers. The role will suit a person that is comfortable working operatively, taking initiatives and having a customer centric approach. The role will present many possibilities to find improvements.
What will you do?
• Full understanding of demand process, lead times and to support on data quality, data cleansing and data transformation in product demand planning
• Ensure a timely placement of orders and forecasts to our suppliers
• Liaise between suppliers / manufacturers and relevant internal departments and customers such as Sourcing, Marketing, Commercial Operations, R&D, Service, Order Management and Logistics.
• Respond to internal customers enquiries relating to estimated delivery dates, availability, invoices and inventory
• Stay up to date with internal departments and organizations as well as external factors impacting product life cycle and corresponding placement of orders
• Drive improvement to forecast accuracy through collaborative forecasting and lead change as necessary
• Propose alternative solutions and communicate to stakeholders in the event of shortages or delayed deliveries to minimize impact on the organization
• Analyse and evaluate suppliers' performance to improve supply chain performance
• Support on analysis, reports and metrics to Supply Chain Manager regarding demand, supply, inventory, quality and cost.
• Actively drive improvements and process rigor within the team related to Quality Management System – review, improve, document.
How will you get there?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or other business management discipline or related field or having relevant experience from working within the Supply Chain field (demand planning, supply chain analytics, inventory management, order management, purchasing)
• Experience of using ERP (preferably SAP) and Business Intelligence tools (preferably Power BI)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken Swedish and English
• Ability to work independently in a global organization
• Results-oriented and service-minded
• Experience in pharmaceutical or medical technology industry is beneficial
