We are now looking for a leader for our two Nordic Terminals Aarhus and Gothenburg. This is a new key role within the organization with the aim to find common synergies within the Nordic region and improve the customer experience. In this role, you will have great opportunities to contribute to the development of APM Terminals

As Planning Manager for our Nordic organization, you will work closely with our commercial department and other functions within Operations, as well as customers. You will join the Operations Management team and report to the Head of Operations.
Since the role is new within the organization there is a huge opportunity to influence the content and develop associated processes.
Key Responsibilities:
The Nordic Planning Manager has responsibility for the strategic leadership of all terminal vessel, yard and berth planning activities with due regard to safety, quality, productivity and optimum use of resources, equipment and space. In addition, you are responsible for the strategic development of the customer experience and you will be driving the development as well as the optimization of One Nordic.
One of your key responsibilities will be to find common synergies and solutions for setting one planning platform within the Nordic region. The two Terminals are today working partly separated. The Nordic planning department consists of eight specialists.
Your main tasks will be:
Lead and develop a team of supply chain specialists. Act as role model for company values and lean principles.
Prepare and facilitate S&OP planning for Nordic. Manage activities and provide analysis that can drive business decisions with regards to improving service level, efficiency, and customer service.
Streamlining processes and driving cost saving Kaizens (Continuous Improvement).
Provide transparent production scheduling, with the right capacity, based on demand forecast as well as customer segmentation and analysis.
Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvements.
Drive transformation connected to automation, digitization, and sustainability.
We are looking for:
You probably have an academic degree in logistics, industrial economics or equivalent, and you have extensive experience in managing logistics planning in a changeable, fast-moving environment.
You have previously most likely worked in customer-related businesses and thus have a good understanding of the importance of good service and customer focus. Furthermore, you are analytical, have good problem-solving skills and have knowledge about advanced planning set-ups. You have previously been successful with change management. You can easily see new solutions and you are driven by creating efficient ways of working - both within the planning team but also regarding the terminal's logistic flows.
You have successful management experience with coaching and a clear leadership based on lean principles and values. You are an excellent communicator, and you can present and push through ideas and decisions in a convincing and humble way. You enjoy being in a dynamic environment and you are used to driving multiple tasks on both tactical and strategic levels. Being a Nordic leader, bridging two terminals, is an advantage if you have experience in leading teams remotely. The role will also require occasional travel between the entities. As we belong to a global group, we assume that you have good language skills in Swedish or Danish and English.
