Supply Manager for assignment at pharmaceutical company in Stockholm

We offer our customers services in three business areas; interim logistics and procurement consultants, recruitment of buyers and logisticians, as well as development of our customers’ supply chain operations in terms of strategies, models, methods, processes, structure and competence.

On behalf of our customer we are looking for a Supply Manager for a longer assignment at a pharmaceutical company north of Stockholm.  

The role

The purchasing team consists of three Supply managers. As a Supply Manager you are responsible for purchasing of products from external and internal suppliers and shall secure a high service level to customers in combination with keeping inventory at healthy levels. Each Supply manager has a main responsibility for a part of the product portfolio and its suppliers, but also internal contact with the corporate sourcing organization, demand planning, sales and marketing. The role also includes working with new product introduction projects, artwork and packaging changes, and planning phasing out of discontinued products. The majority of your suppliers are based in Europe, so the external contact areas are often international.

Main tasks:

Place purchase orders with suppliersFollow up inbound deliveriesManage inventory for “your” part of the portfolioWork closely with the demand manager to plan purchase ordersInterface / Contact with suppliers and central sourcing organizationDevelop the cooperation with the suppliers and the supplier performance together with central sourcing organizationContribute to develop ways of working in the purchasing and supply chain organizationProject member (purchasing) in new product introduction projects                  

Experience and competence

For this assignment we are looking for a driven operational purchaser with tactical experience and at least two years of working experience from purchasing. The role requires experience from and understanding for purchasing of seasonal and campaign products as well as a good understanding of logistics flows.

A thorough knowledge in MS Office and SAP is an advantage for the role and since the corporate language is English you need to be fluent in English both orally and written.

As a person you are proactive and well structured. You are a teamplayer who cooperates easily with internal and external stakeholders and prefer to work in a challenging and fast environment.
