Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR & PM) is a global organization within Volvo Group Purchasing with holistic responsibility for the Product Project portfolio, Volume & Supplier Capacity Planning, Supply Partner Development and Crisis Management. We deliver customer value via end-to-end product evolution ownership & a resilient supply network, and we enable the best Performance & Customer Success outcomes while fully coordinated with Volvo Group Technology and Volvo Group Operations and Volvo Brands within an efficient governance structure. We have a data-based proactive supply network management as well as a strong reactive capability –riving industry-leading performance. We use digitalization to Monitor & Develop our suppliers into Trusted Partners, leading to full transparency and proactive visibility of risks during end-to-end processes.
Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR/PM) Europe being the Strategic steering line for all SNR/PM purchasing activities within Volvo Group Purchasing, we organize a strong collaboration within SNR/PM purchasing teams spread across different sites/regions, and we are also the operational line responsible for SNR/PM Europe business all along specific process steps and areas. The team is responsible for driving end-to-end Purchasing activities whilst securing QDCF-TSR (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management) targets.

What will you do, as Supply Partner Development Engineer?
The job as a Supply Partner Development Engineer is often challenging and often rewarding. The overall mission is to support the GTP business and buyers with expertise within capacity, cost, and lean manufacturing. The function can also support the coordination of supplier improvement initiatives. As SPDE you will take part in activities such as capacity evaluations and expansions, as well as performance review, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, diagnosis, and risk management initiatives. Another important task is to contribute to the continuous improvement of the way we work with our suppliers. You will be accountable for developing the suppliers selected for the right performance in production (right quality, delivery on time, right cost, good added value...) and supply chain risk (internal and external sources of information). Driving overall performance development plans through Volvo Production System and capturing new improvements through partnerships.

You are an expert, agile and able to jump from capacity to cost or to lean manufacturing subjects.
What is your background?
A university degree in engineering or several years of technical experience
Knowledge/skills in capacity, lean and cost management
Experience of working with significant independence.
Project managerial experience
Good English communication skills, orally and in writing, plus local language.
Experience in a structured approach with good analytical skills, logical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational, time management and continuous improvement skills.
Preventive mind set with leadership to solve problems and to make decision.
Ability to create networks and lead cross-functional activities within multi-cultural teams.
