Foundational products


Foundational products create services for the whole Group. Our mission is to make all of the development teams faster by enabling them to leverage new technology, practices and processes. That includes but are not limited to; cloud, CI/CD, developer toolchains and automation. We also aim to make life easier for all software developers within Volvo Group.
We are a global team with colleagues in Sweden, France, Poland and India, this is the transformation engine that will propel Volvo Group into the future of tech.


What you will be doing


It’s not enough for us at Foundational Products to create awesome products based on the latest technology. We also need to make sure that the development teams adopt and use them. This means that we need to support the full Volvo Group with technical expertise, support and consulting. We want to limit disruptions and quickly get development teams back to their flow state.
You will be responsible for this support process, making sure that we have a good structure so that we can provide support at scale. Some problems are more difficult than others, you will be responsible to ensure we have the right constellations in place to solve these problems. You will also be responsible to drive forth solutions to complex problems outside of Foundational Products. Measuring performance and analyzing the result to work pro-actively with improvement is also part of the responsibility. We want to evolve the way we offer support. You will be instrumental in making that change happen.


Who you are


You are someone who can create and enforce structure in a complex environment.
Collaboration is second nature to you, easily building strong networks and relationships.
A fast learner who’s motivated by solving problems and have a solution-oriented mindset.
You are thick skinned person who can persuade people and negotiate solutions that’s acceptable to all parties. You are service minded, you understand the value of supporting end-to-end and stubborn enough to make sure to always go the full mile to help someone.
Of course, you have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
Understanding of the software development process.
Experience working with support at a large company.
Experience with ServiceNow or other process management tools.
