About the position
At Refined, we are on a mission to help teams collaborate better. Our software turns native Confluence, Jira and Jira Service Management content into themed, easy-to-use intranets, service desks, issue trackers, knowledge bases and more.
You, as a Support Engineer, play a key role ensuring our clients are happy with their product experience. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working in our online support system, picking up and working on tickets. You are the driver of your support cases, whether that means troubleshooting, setting up and investigating technical environments, answering questions or communicating internally with the support resource team (devs and PM), or keeping the customer up-to-date. You will also join our daily meetings with the entire support team to bounce ideas off each other and to share knowledge - your team is there to help with the trickier client cases!
And, of course, you get to work with customers from all over the world! Large well-known companies and brands (e.g. Apple, Coca-Cola, Spotify, NASA, Facebook) as well as smaller startups - and everything in between. Pretty cool, right?
What will you need to succeed in this role?
Our best guess is that you have a technical (e.g. programmer) or consulting background, or have worked as a technical tester. There is no one set of skills or background to do the job, but there are a few things that make your work a lot easier in this position:
- The ability to approach problems in a systematic and structured way
- A few years of experience from working with business systems, preferably in a support position
- An understanding of computer setups and concepts (server side, cloud and web apps)
- A high sense of the quality standards in a tech company
- The ability to work well in a team with different kinds of members: developers, designers, product managers and other support engineers
- A humble and respectful attitude towards your work, within and between teams
- Experience in reporting bugs and communicating with team members through writing and talking
- Great communication skills in English
