Role of Support Engineer
Initially you will be required to undertake installation and service of our RVM products in Sweden and will use knowledge and skills gained through experience to provide technical support & training to our worldwide technicians, distributors, partners, and customers.
Travel is an essential part of this role and you will be expected to work away from home for periods of time, both domestically & internationally, for the purposes of training & assisting with service / projects within the wider group. The job is based in the office in Stockholm.
We are an international company and all technical materials; training & support will be delivered in English.
The role would be suited to someone having a service background in electro-mechanical repair or similar with experience of both end user / customer support & supporting technicians.
Key requirements:
· Hold valid driving license
· Hold valid passport
· Available to travel & work internationally (training and installs)
· Written & spoken English and Swedish
· Good communication skills and ability to deliver training and phone support to customers of various technical abilities.
Experience of:
· Creating and delivering training to various groups and skill levels.
· Managing projects / equipment deployment schedules.
· Scheduling of service jobs and managing workloads.
· Inventory control – ordering & maintaining service spares.
· Warranty claims
· Handling customer complaints.
Key technical skills:
· Installation and maintenance of stand alone and larger modular systems.
· Fault finding on complex computer based electrical / electronic systems.
· PC knowledge – fault finding, repair, cloning disks etc.
· Mechanical – replacing motors, compactors, assembling cabinets.
· Electrical / Electronic – checking, testing & replacing components – pcb’s, motor starters, relays, inverters, safety switches etc.
· Perform service, preventative maintenance & cleaning.
· Technical training and mentoring of technicians.
· Computer skills – working with office packages, teams etc.
· Basic network knowledge – patching, IP & fault finding.
Desirable skills but not essential:
· Background in or knowledge of Linux / Unix operating systems
· Linux scripting (basic understanding / editing of scripts)
· Networking knowledge
