The Role Overview The Global Support organization at TIBCO provides technical Product Support services to our customers.As a member of this world wide team, you will help trouble shoot, debug and solve problems that may arise during the use and implementation of complex solutions by external and internal customers using our products.The Support Engineer will be supporting the TIBCO Spotfire products of the analytics product line, with a main focus on the server parts.Responsibilities -Provide phone/email/WebEx consultation to investigate customer problems -Understand the problem reported by the customer and reproduce it locally in the support lab -Document customer issues and their solutions accurately and completely in the support call tracking system -Report product defects in the defect tracking system -Investigate and provide workarounds as applicable -Collaborate with other teams within Support, Professional Services, Engineering as required -Manage workload efficiently while being able to resolve time-critical situations professionally -Learn the technologies required for supporting the products -Create Knowledge Base articles (FAQ/Solutions) Technical Skills and Qualifications -BSc degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or equivalent -Programming or Support experience with Java-based applications -3 years Unix and Windows administration and debugging experience with several of the following: -J2EE, JMS, XML/XPATH, Web services, web development, app/web servers (Tomcat, MS IIS), networking, TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, .NET, security protocols (Active Directory, LDAP, NTLM, Kerberos) -1-2 years DBA experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server -Experience with S-PLUS and/or R desired -Demonstrated post graduate relevant experience in a software technical position -Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Strong customer orientated attitude -Comfortable with a high-volume workload with the ability to multi-task and prioritise -Passion for learning new technologies -Proven capability to own, drive and take responsibility -Ability to work in an international multi site environment -Fluency in English and Swedish desired Hiring Office Gothenburg, Sweden Your Application Please register your CV and personal letter at http://intl-tibcosoftware.icims.com/jobs/3232/job, where you describe why you are the right candidate for this position with TIBCO.Please send us your application as soon as possible, no later than October 3, 2010.
