SUPPORT ENGINEERS
To meet the rapid growth the EMEA Support function (Europe, Middle East, Africa) must extend their team with additional engineers.Support is generally provided in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish/Scandinavian and Dutch and now we need to strengthen our Spanish and English speaking resources.As Support Engineer you will be part of a multi cultural team and work closely with the local sales office of your region.The support group is a vital part of our sales organization and a link between our sales offices and market towards Product Management and R&D in Lund.
The EMEA support team is growing and now more than 10 engineers cooperate to assist the EMEA market.The team handle partner and end customer assistance, covering everything from helping end users with smaller problems to supporting sales in major deals.The support team is part of a global support structure with event handling support tools, cross market networks and specialized support resources to assist complicated cases.
We are seeking team players with a curiosity for new cultures and an interest for technology.You have social skills, are eager to help and can handle many ongoing activities simultaneously.You must be close to native speaking in your main language and any additional language skills are beneficial.
Position description:
You will be providing valuable phone and online support to end-users, resellers and distributors.
You will also be providing potential customers with pre-sales information about Axis products
You will have access to a team of product specialists who can provide you with product-specific assistance for resolving the more complicated cases.
Practically speaking, you will be part of two teams, the EMEA support team and the sales office which you will assist with both pre- and post-sales support, which would involve travel to the sales office for monthly meetings.
We would expect the successful candidate for this position to have the following background:
Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in solving our customer's problems
Close to native language skills in your main language
Sound knowledge of basic computer software and hardware technology
Experience of network operating systems such as; Windows 2000, Windows NT or Unix is a plus
A keen general interest in networking technologies, the Internet, LANs and network products is a plus
Experience of networking protocols such as TCP/IP is a definite plus
