At the section Surface Treatment Engineering we develop and deliver technical solutions, test methods, strategies and competence in the area of surface treatment. We also state technical requirements and verify technical solutions. We are divided into one engineering group and two analysis and verification (A&V) groups. Our technical area of expertise consists of pretreatment, paint systems, corrosion protection, sealing materials, sound damping materials and body adhesives. We are also responsible for the attribute Paint & Finish as well as securing after market solutions within materials in the surface treatment area. The group Corrosion and Adhesives testing team are responsible to verify surface treatment materials before implementing these in to running production or on new car concepts. Our staff have a wide experience within surface treatment materials such as adhesives, sealings, pretreatment, electrocoat, paint, cavitywaxes etc . Moreover we support running production with analyses when disturbances occur.

As a Surface Treatment Test Engineer Adhesives you will establish and develop relationships with a variety of system areas, suppliers and other customer as well as our own plants in different locations around the world. In this position you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network both within and outside the company. Main responsibilities

* Perform testing of adhesives, sealers, corrosion protection and damping materials
* Perform rheology measurements, static and fatigue testing of adhesives, etc
* Perform analysis of bodies and components
* Support in running production in material related issues
* Participate and lead advanced engineering projects and method development

Required qualifications

* M.Sc in Chemistry / Materials or equivalent (university degree, work experience)
* Good theoretical knowledge and practical experience of polymers and rheology
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Drivers license B
* Industrial experience of sealing, damping, adhesive and corrosion protection materials is meritorious
