We are looking for a Sustainability Architect within Energy Efficiency to join our Sustainability Centre at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. 

What’s in it for you?
At Sustainability Centre we are responsible for the climate impact of our products and setting the goals for how to fulfill the company sustainability goals. Since our products are becoming increasingly connected and software, data and AI will be critical for innovation and new value creation to enable a rapid transformation for our business. The importance of data will increase and will enable a successful digital transformation. We need to Incorporate sustainability in everything we do and increase customer awareness and user experience to Sustainability.

What you’ll do 
As Sustainability Architect, you will work with stakeholders within and outside of Sustainability Centre to secure our organizational sustainability ambitions and priorities. You are also responsible to ensure implementation of Sustainability EPICs in our Product Streams, and to develop features in VIRA in collaboration with stakeholders within and outside the attribute center to support our future sustainability needs. Furthermore, you are responsible to support the product streams and complete vehicle engineering stream with sustainability input during the development work, and to keep together Sustainability Centre deliveries.

You will be working together with other System Architects and Technical Specialist within our strategy team. You will also work closely with the development teams within Product Creation (R&D) and our Product Managers, as well as other parts of our global organization.

You and your skills
As a foundation you need a Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering degree within a relevant filed as well as a background within energy efficiency. Having an interest in the area of Vehicle Energy Efficiency is definitely an asset.

To be successful in this role, you need to be persuasive and efficient in communicating with various stakeholders (including high-level management) and experienced in cross-functional negotiations/collaboration.

On a personal level, you are a structured, analytical and performance driven individual with great leadership skills. You are flexible, willing to embrace challenges and you have the ability to operate in a frequently changing environment. You are a visionary who loves to motivate others, as well as making things happen. You have the ability to focus on what’s best for the planet and what works for the company: taking the next step while not losing sight of the bigger picture.
