Sustainability & Authorisation Specialist, IKEA Communications
The Business Area Media Production supports IKEA retailers in producing efficient and effective marketing communication. To do this, we provide production management service, production platforms and know-how for both printed and digital publications. Together with IKEA business partners, IKEA retailers and suppliers, we continuously develop and improve our publications, platforms and production processes.
The IKEA catalogue is our main production. Our experience with the IKEA catalogue helps us deliver related publications. We produce global in-store range brochures, the IKEA FAMILY MAGAZINE and other publications, in both print and digital versions.
The foundation of the print publication platform is our authorised supplier network. Before getting access to the annual request for quotation, all paper and print suppliers have to be authorised according to our package of sustainability, quality and operational requirements. This information is then used to make conscious decision during the supplier selection process.
We are now looking for a Sustainability & Authorisation Specialist, who has the responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining sustainability tools and processes for Media Production - the complete RFI & supplier authorisation process
In this role you will be responsible for:
Developing, implementing and maintaining supplier classification/supplier development set up in cooperation with business partners
Following up on Media Production supplier compliance, corrective action plan and product performance according to approved business requirements. Gathering, compilation and validation of supplier- and product data
Setting up sustainability sourcing goals and supplier briefs towards the procurement team
Pro-actively assessing supplier compliance and product performance for purchasing scenarios
Leading and supporting the internal follow-up on legal compliance and sustainability management system, such as IWAY (IKEA Code of Conduct) and FSC certifications.
Preparing of and documenting selected sustainability reports and supporting communications of the sustainability achievements/product performance and activities of the IKEA Catalogue, print and digital versions and other print and digital publications
Transferring sustainability know-how towards selected business partners.
To be successful in the role, we think you have:
At least two years of working experience with sustainability issues - from the industry or other relevant organisations
Knowledge and experience applying sustainability certification schemes, concepts and standards
Strong analytical skills in order to make the right business decisions and secure correct implementations
Strong knowledge of IT systems
Strong communication skills in English
Good knowledge and experience of project management
Knowledge of printed media products and production process, and experience in digital media and publications is a benefit
Furthermore you are business and service minded with the ability to consider sustainability in a wider context. You have the ability to transition technical information into information that is utilised by the business to integrate sustainability into daily operations and you enjoy and actively drive collaboration with different stakeholders in a multicultural and international environment.
