Component Value Retention (CVR) team have a key role in positioning Volvo Cars as a pioneer in the industry regarding sustainability. Volvo Cars Service Business has a huge potential to contribute and have bold ambitions to make Volvo the industry leader in Sustainability through deployment of Circular Economy principles which includes the 5R’s: Remanufacturing, Recycling/upcycling, Refurbishing, Repairing and Reusing hence decreasing the environmental impact.
What we offer
We are looking for a skilled Sustainability Business Manager to join our Component Value Retention team. In this role you will be a major player in a team that will from a sustainable perspective lead, operate and develop the 5R’s so that it throughout the life cycle of the car is optimal with respect to the financial results, environmental impact and customer satisfaction.
Our purpose is, we increase profitability, secure availability and reduce environmental impact from service operations through circular economy models.
What you will do!
• Develop Sustainability Strategies to meet our long-term goals and ambitions.
• Grow the assortment of circular components to our consumer segments e.g. 5R’s*.
• Optimize the business equation for 5R* parts breakdown in relation to consumer value.
• Continuously analyse and benchmark the area of circular economies and drive solutions to ensure Volvo Cars remains the competitive edge in a transformative landscape.
• Secure that we have an optimal circular return flow of components from our service providers globally.
You and your skills
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree from University.
To be successful in this role, you need to have Business Commercial or Marketing experience as well as experience from Circular Economy or Sustainability.
Experience in Agile/SAFe and from working with/in different markets is beneficial.
You need to be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
On a personal level
You have a high level of integrity and professionalism with good communication skills. Curiousness comes natural with a personal eagerness to investigate, learn and accomplish results. You are structured and results oriented and have a strong personal drive to get things done.
A natural ability of system thinking and structured way of working will be important in this role, as well as a high ability to work in teams, individually and multicultural. Moreover, we believe you are proactive, entrepreneurial with the ability to see the holistic view and have a conceptual thinking.
A pragmatic approach rather than theoretic perfect solution will sometimes be required.
