Sustainability Compliance Auditor

We are looking for a Sustainability Compliance Auditor

The mission is to develop business with suppliers in order to deliver IKEA products to our stores located around the world. The goal is to meet the price, quality and quantity expectations of our customers. In our Purchasing area we are working with suppliers in northern Europe and the Baltic countries and have offices in Älmhult, Kaunas and Dortmund.

IWAY, The IKEA Way on Purchasing Home Furnishing Products, is our code of conduct. It specifies the minimum requirements on social and working conditions, child labour and environment that we place on suppliers. IWAY also describes what they can expect from us in return.

The compliance auditor supports the business by carrying out IWAY audits and giving suppliers final approval, in accordance with IWAY Working Method. You present the audits result, both in written reports and orally.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
- Plan and perform IKEA Way audits, in accordance with IKEA Way Working Method and IKEA Supply Chain Audit Procedure.
- Make final IKEA Way verification and approval.
- Update all relevant IKEA systems, in accordance with IKEA Way Working Method.
- Support IKEA Way implementation follow-up by the teams, at the supplier.
- Support with input about applicable legislation.
- Use knowledge gained during the IKEA Way auditing process at different manufacturing or operations sites to contribute to the business development.
- Perform initial IKEA Way assessments for new suppliers, as a support and upon request from Purchasing/Business Teams.

YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
- Interest in Social and Environmental questions and Sustainable development.
- Understanding the IKEA Business Idea and Social Responsibility Code of Conduct, and how they meet the customer?s requirements.
- Previous auditing experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge on business condition and industry/production processes.
- Knowledge in business operations and supply chain strategies.
- Driving licence.
- Good knowledge of local legislation
- Fluent in German
- Fluent in English
