Job Description


We are looking for both Senior and Junior Consultant level professionals to join our team in Sweden.
Our interdisciplinary team consists of sustainability experts with holistic understanding of sustainability; regulations, frameworks, and tools needed for businesses and public organizations in the transition to sustainable society. We are working very closely with our clients in making sustainable solutions in AFRY’s three main sectors: infrastructure, industry and energy.
As a sustainability professional, you will be given responsibilities and opportunity to contribute to exciting and impactful projects in both strategic and operational level. You will be working with AFRY’s specialists around the world from different sectors. At AFRY we have unique position in combining business insight with deep sustainability and technical competence to make sustainable solutions. We promote teamwork and collaboration in our inclusive and interdisciplinarity team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Growing the sustainability business area in Sweden in collaboration with the international team. The content of the work focuses on ESG strategy and governance, climate roadmap and strategy, climate risk assessments, emission reduction program preparation and implementation projects, Biodiversity management, sustainable urban development as well as GHG inventories, sustainability scanning and related advisory services.
• Driving business development and sales, management, and delivery of client engagements, and taking key roles in project teams. You will be given responsibilities and opportunity to contribute to exciting projects on advancing the climate and sustainability approaches and performance of our clients. You will be working with AFRY’s local specialists as well as our specialists around the world.


Qualifications


• 2-6 years of work experience, including work with corporate climate strategies and corporate sustainability, climate risk and climate change related business impact assessments; in consulting, in-house specialist, as sustainability manager or in the finance sector environment.
• A passion for sustainability, climate change and biodiversity loss mitigation, experience in one or more of the following: ESG strategies and governance, climate change and emission reduction measures cost-benefit analysis, climate risk analysis, sustainable finance, Sustainability reporting, and major guidelines on climate and sustainability risk such as TCFD, CDP and the EU Taxonomy.
• University degree in sustainability, or in business, management, finance or a related subject area with a focus on climate and corporate/societal sustainability.
• An analytical mindset with demonstrated ability for strategic thinking, with a consultative capability to recognize opportunities to add value to client.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills in English and Swedish.
• Experience of working with client management to discuss and present engagements and provide recommendations.
• Project management skills with good level of structure and organization

Business unit Sustainability Consulting consist of 50 interdisciplinary experts with vast understanding of sustainability. Our current home countries are Finland, Germany and Sweden, and we are growing rapidly in Europe. The business unit is part of AFRY’s Infrastructure Division.
