Director of Sustainability
to Business Area Mines

Work duties
In the role as Director of Sustainability for business area mines, you are responsible for leading, planning and follow up the sustainability work in the business. It is a broad role where you work at a strategic level. To help you, you have a competent team of leaders and employees who work in the following areas of competence: Research and development, closed mines, external environment, forest and land, social sustainability and public affairs. Approximately 30 employees report to the department, four of whom are department managers. You are part of the mines management team and report to the president of the mines business area. In this role, you are highly involved in developing the entire company's operations.
Boliden aims to be the most respected and climate-friendly metal supplier in the world. With that goal in mind, it is important that the business complies with environmental requirements and develops work processes and management systems to become even more efficient. We set goals for today and for the future to achieve them we need your drive and participation.
Education and qualifications
You are an experienced leader and have excellent coordination skills. To succeed in this position you need to have a positive and constructive attitude towards other people and an ability to create and develop both internal and external relationships that inspire trust. You are structured at the same time as you have good verbal and written communication skills in English. We are looking for a committed and down-to-earth person who gets things done and can lead the business by spreading enthusiasm and creating participation.
The person we are looking for has a college or university degree in a relevant field or equivalent. You have a few years of experience from similar management positions and we would like you to have deeper knowledge in at least one of your areas of responsibility. As a person, you are strategic, future-oriented and have a genuine interest in driving improvement work together with your employees, with the ability and courage to make decisions.
