• Passion for sustainability and highly motivated about making IKEA People and Planet Positive.
• Advanced knowledge of our Retail business operations and how to create and implement change initiatives.
• Knowledge of how IKEA designs, produces, sells and delivers goods and services that improve the everyday life of the many people.
• Strong drive and the ability to influence people and build trustful relationships to put sustainability on the agenda.
• Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
• Ability to focus, structure and prioritize between tasks and follow-up to secure delivery to our plans.
• Strong internal network, across IKEA, IKEA of Sweden and Inter IKEA Group or the ability to build on your existing network.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
Create strong ownership of sustainability in the Retail organisations by developing and leading the Retail Sustainability agenda in alignment with the People & Planet Positive (P&PP) strategy.
• Set annual Retail Sustainability goals in line with P&PP roadmaps, follow up on relevant KPIs and provide feedback to Group Sustainability and Retail organisations on challenging areas and/or needs for strategic/SME support.
• Proactively contribute with business and market insights to the development of business development initiatives, identifying common needs from the customers and retail markets and feeding them in to Group Sustainability and Group Strategy Development & Innovation.
• Facilitate the deployment process of key sustainability initiatives including follow up of the success of implementation. This also includes ensuring pre-requisites are in place for successful deployment such as resources and functional ownership.
• Ensure an overview and status updates of ongoing key sustainability initiatives within Retail organisation, including development of follow-up tools.
• Actively participate in relevant decision forums across Ingka Group and manage relationships and alignments with Inter-IKEA Group and IKEA of Sweden regarding any relevant shared initiative connected with Sustainability.
• Be the matrix partner for the Retail Sustainability matrix in countries, steering, supporting and challenging the global functions/companies and countries in their work to become People & Planet Positive.
This role will be based in Malmö Sweden and report to the Sustainability Retail Operations Manager.
OUR TEAM WITHIN IKEA
The purpose of the Sustainability Retail Operations team is to create a strong ownership of sustainability in Retail, lead the Retail Sustainability agenda aligned with the People & Planet Positive (P&PP) strategy and deliver to it’s goals. We do this in partnership and collaboration with colleagues in Group functions , Retail Markets, Inter IKEA Systems and relevant external stakeholders by inspiring, supporting and challenging the countries and Group to implement the Retail Sustainability plan.
