The organization is responsible for the complete development lifecycle, from strategic development to maintaining the products on the market. We drive the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and secure a stepwise implementation in different segments and regions. The organization develops and drives the Electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is one of the keys to achieving sustainable mobility for the future. We are now looking for a Sustainability Manager.

The Role and Mission
The role is within the Product Management (PM) department in Electromobility at Group Trucks Technology. As Sustainability Manager, you will support the whole Electromobility organization in developing and implementing a more sustainable perspective on product development. This entails taking a specific responsibility for driving the sustainability agenda and making a clear roadmap. To develop this roadmap, you will work very cross-functional, collecting information, perspectives, and agendas to lay the sustainability puzzle for the organization.
Creating a way of working regarding sustainability is in the scope for this person. How should we monitor our progress towards becoming CO2 free in our product usage and production? How should we work with the R-Framework? How should we work with our suppliers to achieve our goals? These are some questions that this role is responsible for. The answers later need to be implemented into the organization.
The role entails coordinating and executing education within sustainability within the electromobility organization. You will be the go-to person when it comes to sustainability tools, talking to different parts of the organization, as well as people in different technology projects, creating awareness of areas of concern. You will engage and represent Electromobility in different Sustainability forums on a high level.
Requirements:
MSc in engineering, preferably (but not necessarily) with sustainability as an integrated part or equivalent
5+ years of experience of sustainability work and tools
You have an analytical mindset and are curious to learn and understand sustainability possibilities, expectations, and limitations, as well as plan for future expectations.
You have good networking skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
You have the ability to be direct and clear, and you feel comfortable in driving the changes that need to be made to implement our sustainability agenda.
You have good project management/coordination skills and are well organized.
Your English is good both verbal and written. You feel comfortable presenting and delivering messages and know what tool to use when.
