Sustainability Pre-study leader - Substances of Concern (SOC)

We are now looking for a Sustainability Pre-study leader with focus on Substances of Concern

The Platform Sustainability department is a function within GTT with the mission to provide roadmaps, expertise, guidance and support to management and engineering within the area of sustainability and circularity. Additionally, we are supporting GTT with processes and tools to ensure that our products comply with applicable legislation and our ambitions when it comes to sustainability. We also manage projects concerning legal compliance and life cycle management with Volvo Group external collaboration partners. You will be part of an enthusiastic team that believes in doing great things together, not because we have to - but because we want to!
Role description
You will drive investigations to evaluate the impact of phasing out of substances of concern according to upcoming restrictions and new regulation proposals e.g. within EU REACH, EU Taxonomy etc. You will lead a SOC cross-functional team developing and cascading substance phase-out roadmaps within engineering. Pre-studies will cover both GTT and Volvo Group impact.
The challenge you will meet is handling complexity – the opportunity is global networking with colleagues from all Volvo Group business areas around the world to reach results! You will work in close collaboration with colleagues from, e.g., our Truck brands, Construction Equipment, Penta, and Buses. Who are you?
We believe you have a positive can-do mindset with a demonstrated ability to initiate, manage and coordinate complex cross-functional projects. You have a good knowledge of the GTT product development processes. You have a good GTX network and a strong interest in sustainability. You have a strong drive and possess excellent collaboration and networking skills. Good material knowledge is a plus.
Required experiences and education:
MSc or PhD degree in a relevant engineering area
Solid project leader background
Very good knowledge in Volvo GTT product development way of working, engineering tools and systems
Good Volvo product knowledge with truck focus
Excellent communication skills in English
