Konecranes' global sustainability function is responsible for the group level sustainability agenda. We lead the change and support our businesses by driving several strategic initiatives. We bridge the sustainability goals with stakeholders’ information needs: We are also responsible for the sustainability reporting and communication to ensure the effective implementation of the sustainability strategy. To foster a positive relationship with our stakeholders we’d like to extend our team with an ESG generalist to take an active role in stakeholder engagement work. Therefore, we are now looking for a passionate Sustainability Specialist, Stakeholder Engagement to join our dynamic team. The position is fully remote and we will consider candidates from anywhere in Sweden.
Your key responsibilities
Coordinating and supporting the process for sustainability assessments and providing information to ESG rating agencies such as CDP and EcoVadis.
Monitoring industry trends and conducting benchmarks.
Answering customers’ requests and questionnaires on sustainability. Supporting frontline and sales personnel by acting as the go-to-person with their sustainability related questions.
Supporting in the implementation of the sustainability communication strategy by offering insights from the ESG ratings and customer requests.
Additional focus areas can be defined according to your personal strengths and interests.
What should you bring?
You are an ESG generalist with a strong motivation to enhance stakeholder cooperation. You have a proactive, systematic and analytical way of working. We also hope you are curious to learn new ways of working like optimizing your work with the help of artificial intelligence.
To succeed in this role, you should enjoy working with multiple aspects of ESG. It is important to have an eye for improvements and to be ready to challenge the status quo when dealing with the answers related to ratings and optimizing the processes. Customer oriented mindset is key because you will be supporting our frontlines in serving customers. Strong collaborative and networking skills and willingness to bring people and topics together are essential. It is also important, that you are motivated to work across a multitude of cultures when interacting with both external and internal stakeholders, and effective communication skills help you with that.
As you will be cooperating with a wide network of professionals from different functions, we expect you to be able to understand the overall ESG reporting requirements of the different external stakeholders as this helps to collect the relevant data. Don’t worry, the CSRD work is led by our Sustainability Communications Manager, but you will learn to understand the reporting landscape - it enables you to actively develop our approach to analyze and improve our reporting and communication for effective stakeholder engagement.
We also hope you to have:
Academic degree in e.g., business administration or engineering or similar.
Minimum of 3 years’ expertise in working with ESG and Sustainability topics. We appreciate knowledge related to emission calculations, identification of climate risks and opportunities and understanding of the social responsibility overall, among other ESG topics.
High interest in customer service and engaging with customers.
Project management skills.
Data analytics skills are seen as a benefit.
Excellent written and spoken skills in English.
