Within the section we develop Battery and Electrification Management Systems for Scania and other Traton brand trucks and busses, organised in several teams with different competences and areas of responsibility.

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to make intuitive high level decisions for software development. You will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.

A great software architect has a strong technical background and excellent software development and IT skills. You are experienced in designing and possess ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions.

Key Responsibilities


• Collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
• Using tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
• Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
• Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
• Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
• Evaluating, identifying and developing software solutions
• Training and overseeing the activities of the members of the development team
• Locating and directing solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interface
• Looking for problems within software systems and resolving the issues
• Developing good working relationships with other employees, such as Lead Architect, Product Managers, Programmers and Engineers.

 Skills & Requirements


• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, software engineering or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
• Experience of Embedded Systems SW development
• Experience with SW design methods and documentation tools 
• Good knowledge within requirements engineering (Polarion)
• Analytical skills, especially in the field of functional safety and safety critical system
• Experience in an Agile development environment and experience using tools such as JIRA and GIT.
• Expert knowledge of C/C++

 Valued competences:


• Experience in automotive applications, standards, and CAN bus vehicle standard
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink and RTOS (real time operating system)
