About us
We are dedicated to electrify our brand in a broad effort with Plug-In hybrids (PHEVs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). At the engineering department of Propulsion Controls and Calibration, we are responsible for design and delivery of the technical solution of Traction Battery systems for electrified vehicles.
What´s in it for you
Traction Battery Controls and Calibration are the enabler in the effort to electrify our vehicles. We develop the complete battery system in-house, meaning that you will be working with a broad range of tasks within many different engineering fields with all the skilled engineers within the Traction Battery ART!
You will be a part of the group Battery architecture & industrialisation whose main target is to define system concepts, technical strategies and deliver complete battery controls system solutions including software functionality, safety, diagnostics and BMS HW.
What you’ll do
The System Architect operates mainly in the context of an ART and works with the Teams and provide technical trade-offs concerning systems, functions, modules, components, interfaces and capability areas for the ART.
You will be part of a team that consist of Functional owner, System safety Engineers and both SA2 and SA3 Function and Diagnostics that is working with agile processes and tools. The team is responsible of the total system design of the high voltage battery system and you will contribute to the development of system solutions and High Level SW design.
You will review and brake down incoming features and discuss technical solutions with the ART teams. You will also support and perform investigations and tests on system level. There are strict processes for quality assurance in-place. SPICE certification is also on the agenda. This to meet ISO 26262, and implementation of safety functionality.

We see that you have a degree within Electrical, Computer, Engineering Physics or equivalent level of education. You have experience of Simulation and Model-Based Design using MATLAB/ Simulink as well as experience of developing software algorithms, specifications and test. You are used to work in AUTOSAR and programming skills in C, C++ and Python would be beneficial.
If you have previous experience within automotive development, especially from Volvo Cars (VPDS) it is a benefit, so would also Knowledge in ISO 26262 be. Have you also work in an agile development processes or SAFE it would be even more beneficial. You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and hold a B driving license.
