Our Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced embedded Linux developer with experiences from SW design in Linux environments and/or HW near design such as development of device drivers. You will be working with a small competent team of senior developers with many years of experience in the area. Your responsibilities will include development of user space drivers, daemons and utility programs as well as integration of third party products.

The RAN Compute Hardware and Execution Environment organization (RCHE) is part of PDU Compute and Digital Silicon (PDU CDS) within Development Unit Networks (DNEW) in Business Area Networks (BNEW). PDU CDS RCHE sector is responsible for design and maintenance of Digital Baseband Units in the Ericsson Radio System. Organization works with HW design and SW development of the Execution Environment (EE) for next generation of Digital Baseband units with focus on 5G product development and enabling IoT. We are located in Kista, Sweden and have close cooperation with other PDU CDS sites in China, Croatia, Poland, etc.
You will
Work in all product lifecycles from early studies to product design and maintenance of Execution Environment SW
Participate in pre-studies for design/features objects
Design and drive optimal solutions based on product requirements
Represent Execution environment module in technical forums
Support development teams with technical expertise
Participate in predevelopment projects
Work closely with product guardian group in defining and driving improvements
To be successful in the role you must have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
A minimum of 3-4 years experience of software development
Excellent software development experience
Previous experience working with low level platform software
Excellent C programming skills
Good SW Integration, verification, and troubleshooting skills
Good understanding of CPU and DSP architectures
Good understanding of common Linux development tools such as git, GNU Make, gcc, and gdb
Good English skills
Knowledge of synchronization functionality is a plus
The ability to work well in teams as well as on your own
