Our Exciting Opportunity
Do you want to develop advanced electronics, software, and models for the leading-edge mobile telecommunication systems? And be involved in making 5G happen?
Our department ASIC and IP Design in Kista are responsible for Digital ASIC development for all existing and future mobile standards including 5G. This is done in close cooperation with internal and external partners such as standardization teams and market leading vendors. We are working with state-of-the-art technologies, tools and methodologies from our vendors.
We are looking for several experienced, creative and innovative engineers to join our outstanding team. This team develops and maintains virtual platforms for different kinds of Ericsson Radio Base Station hardware. These virtual platforms are simulators used for pre-silicon software development as well as running regression suites complementing those running on existing hardware.
You will
Use C++, SystemC and TLM and other Open Source software to develop and integrate models into virtual platforms
Be a standout team mate with effective communication skills to proactively support others and the project to succeed.
Drive continuous improvements in products and processes and develop competence in the technical domain
You will have an outstanding opportunity to work and gain competence in several areas such as modeling, design, verification, systemization and SW. To be successful in the role you must have
Experience in working with software design and development for several years, and professional experience of C++ development, knowledge of the use of C++ templates and object-oriented design in C++.
A passion towards code quality, and a good understanding of how hardware and software interacts (low-level software, drivers, polling, interrupts, DMA etc).
Familiarity with how basic hardware blocks and interfaces work (memory, counters, multiplexer, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, etc).
Knowledge about Embedded Linux (uboot, DTB, Linux drivers, user space vs kernel space, embedded Linux development, Yocto).
Experience and knowledge in SystemC/TLM and Open Source software modeling is an advantage.
A basic understanding of using Linux as a software development platform.
Proficient Skills in English speaking and writing
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent education
